For nearly a decade Walton Scout and Guides have been striving for a replacement building. During November 2008 Unique Modular Buildings Ltd was chosen as the nominated supplier. In consultation with the client UMB provided a building to match the Supporters Association’s budget. The brief was to supply the initial weather proof envelope, building size 21.5m x 7.2m comprising 7 sections (modules) fully lined, insulated and erected on to the bases provided by the client. Now the modules are in place, installed September 2010, this will provide renewed impetus to allow the full completion of the building including full electrics, internal partitioning, sanitary ware and a 28 degree pitched roof to meet the requirements of the local planning department.
